Disability

According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability, people with disability are those with long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory conditions that, in interaction with barriers, may limit full participation in society. The Australian Bureau of Statistics defines disability as a limitation, restriction, or impairment lasting, or likely to last at least six months and affecting everyday activities. Disability may be temporary or permanent, visible or non-visible, total or partial, and can be acquired or lifelong.
