NAVA: Factsheet – Risk Assessment
Since 1983, the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) has been an influential advocate for the Australian visual arts, craft and design sector.
NAVA is a Membership organisation which brings together the many voices of the contemporary arts sector to improve fundamental conditions of work and practice. We do this through advocacy, education and the Code of Practice.
Risk Management planning helps you detail and mitigate any potential risks that might arise through the development and implementation of a project/event or the running of an organisation.
For each installation, event, change of space or any construction work you undertake you should complete a Risk Assessment. For events and public projects, Risk Assessments and Risk Management Strategies often form part of the Council application processes. These can often take time and may affect your planning processes so make sure you start this process early and update when necessary.
Use this handy fact sheet to guide your planning processes.
