The Exhibitions Group (UK): Loans

The Exhibitions Group (UK) helps everyone involved in exhibition making to connect and create relevant, sustainable, diverse and accessible exhibitions with our training, resources, and networking opportunities.

Many exhibitions include loans from external sources to augment the organising venue’s collection and to explore the narrative or subject in full. Touring exhibitions are no exception to this rule. Borrowing from museums, galleries and arts organisations can be very different from borrowing from private lenders, artists and dealers, so these two groups are dealt with in separate sections of this chapter.
