NAVA: Teacher Toolkit

This Toolkit offers ‘How to’ Educator and Classroom Guides for teaching and applying the Code of Practice in the classroom, with content and learning outcomes linked to curriculums and syllabuses for all Australian states and territories.

Educators, students and schools contribute to the Australian arts ecology and play an integral part in ensuring the future of our arts sector. These guides explains why it is essential for educators and students to learn about and use the NAVA Code of Practice for Visual Arts, Craft and Design in teaching and learning.

The ‘How to’ Educator Guides include:

  • How to use the Code of Practice in the classroom
  • How to protect student artists’ rights
  • How to stage a student exhibition
  • Introduction to Committing to Meaningful First Nations Projects in Education Settings
  • How to work with First Nations artists in the classroom

The Classroom Guides include:

  • Sue Jo Wright | Accessibility for d/Deaf and Disabled People
  • Jeanette James | Self-Determination
