Exhibition Directory
The Exhibition Directory is a free online hub that showcases exhibitions available for touring across Australia. Organisations and individuals can submit their own exhibitions for listing. It connects galleries, museums, and Aboriginal cultural organisations with high quality programs, ensuring regional, remote, and metropolitan communities can access contemporary exhibitions. By centralising touring opportunities, the Directory boosts visibility for artists and curators, strengthens collaboration across the sector, and makes finding or promoting a tour a straightforward process.
National Standards for Touring
The National Standards for Touring (currently in development) will provide guidelines, tools, and resources for galleries, artists, curators, and cultural organisations. Covering logistics, contracts, exhibition care, and audience engagement, the Standards will set best practice benchmarks to strengthen touring across Australia. Offering practical resources, the Standards will help organisations of all sizes deliver professional, impactful programs and assist with best practice in touring nationwide.

NETS Australia is committed to embedding sustainability into every stage of touring. Working with partners, artists, and venues, we implement low-impact practices, including efficient freight management, reuse of packing materials, and sustainable design solutions. We also provide resources and shared learning to help organisations reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining professional standards.
First Nations Initiatives
NETS Australia embeds First Nations voices and perspectives across its national touring network. We support exhibitions led by First Nations artists and curators, collaborate with communities, and provide resources to guide cultural protocols. By amplifying diverse voices and integrating First Nations leadership into all areas of touring, NETS ensures exhibitions are relevant, representative, and respectful.
Exclusivity and Accessibility
NETS Australia is dedicated to ensuring touring exhibitions are inclusive, accessible, and professionally delivered. We work to remove barriers so that people of all abilities and backgrounds can experience contemporary visual culture. Regional and remote communities also benefit, with access to the same high quality touring exhibitions as metropolitan audiences.
